2017 Cardboard Canoe Race

The 2017 Cardboard Canoe Race was held this past Saturday on the Stillwater River in Orono. In the second annual event, we saw a new school record set for longest amount of time on the river, doubling the previous high time.

After the teams used cardboard and 55 yards of duct tape to construct their canoes, they were put into the water to test their durability. With a time of 24:52, Team FedEX 360S set a new school record, easily surpassing the previous high of 11:25. Full race results can be found here.
