Design Your Own Birchbark Container

- Fold corners “E” along the dotted lines. Next, crease the “F” dotted lines. Overlap the folded corners “E,” as shown in the image on the right.

. - Use a bamboo skewer to pierce the container at each end. Thread raffia through the holes on each end and tie to hold the container together, as shown.

. - Decorate the finished “birchbark” container using some of the traditional designs suggested below:
