Today is the start of Week 3 of the Maine Home Food Waste Challenge. Make sure to start the week with a clean, empty food waste collection container. If you are using our printable waste tracker, you can track your Week 3 food waste daily.

We heard your concerns about too much spoiled food. Here are some tips and resources to help you store your valuable food, so you can eat more and waste less.
- Know your fresh food timeline + app – that way you can know when to use it for peak freshness!
- Learn how to store every type of food to save food and money.
- Understand how your fridge works and remember “the freezer is your friend” to help reduce wasted food.
