Travel Study

Division of Lifelong Learning logoDo you have an interest in learning about other cultures, languages, and areas of the country and the world? The University of Maine travel study courses allow you to fit travel into your academic experience without conflicting with your academic schedule. With travel study courses, you’ll spend a small amount of time in a traditional classroom environment learning about the country or area you will be visiting. Then, you’ll spend the rest of your course time in a fascinating area of the world exploring a new culture, eating the local cuisine, and experiencing life as the locals do.

Photographs of students not wearing masks were taken prior to the coronavirus pandemic. The University of Maine and University of Maine at Machias follow federal and state Centers for Disease Control and Prevention health and safety guidance, which includes social distancing and use of face coverings for the start of the 2020–21 academic year.
