Travel Study

The University of Maine travel study courses are short-term, faculty-led courses that allow you to fit travel into your academic experience without conflicting with your academic schedule. With travel study courses, you’ll spend a small amount of time in a traditional classroom environment, followed by the opportunity to travel domestically or internationally with a group of students with similar interests.

student stories

From climbing Cerro Castillo, Leones Glacier, sea kayaking in marble caves, visiting Patagonia National Park and Coyhaique National Reserve soundscape, we learned the stories rooted in the land, partook in local traditions, and discovered new aspects of ourselves.
