Volunteers Honored at the Washington County Extension Association Annual Meeting

The following people were honored at the Washington County Extension Association Annual Meeting held on April 2nd at the Cherryfield Congregational Church.

 

Marianne Moore, Vice President of the Washington County Extension Association (WCEA), presents Arthur Carter of Charlotte with the Norman W. Duzen Community Service Award. Arthur was being honored for his many contributions to charitable organizations in the greater Calais area such as the Irene Chadbourne Ecumenical Food Pantry, Down East Hospice Volunteers, St. Anne's Episcopal Church, Charlotte Volunteer Fire and Rescue, the Pembroke and Charlotte Historical Societies as well as many other organizations and projects.

WCEA President Dick Shaw presents Marilyn Ness of Lubec with a University of Maine Volunteer Pen Award.  Marilyn has supported the 4-H Youth Development Program, has been a member and former President of the Washington County Extension Association and is currently a volunteer on the Senior Companion Program Advisory Board.
