ELT Business Items:

Budget Reduction:  As a part of the ongoing budget challenges the ELT reviewed the data received through listening sessions and the survey to make decisions about how we will meet the $735,000 budget cut. Due to the confidential nature related to some of these decisions the minutes will not reflect the full outcome of the discussions and decisions. We will share the plan on March 25th via adobe connect.

Future Agenda Items:

First quarter of each year: Updates from Tanglewood/Blueberry Cove, and Bryant Pond Camps

Announcement Invitation:

The ELT invites you to submit items to be included in the minutes/announcements of the next regularly scheduled ELT meeting.  This is an opportunity to share with the ELT and the rest of the organization any of the following:

• Notable programmatic accomplishments
• Development or fundraising success
• Significant new partnerships and/or opportunities
• Important transitions

Please take the opportunity to share your good works through this avenue.  Keep it brief… approximately two to four sentences would be appreciated. To submit an announcement, please contact your PA or appropriate member of the ELT.

Announcements:      

Congratulations to Alan Majka, who has been awarded $3,500 from Healthy Acadia and the Downeast Community Transformation Collaborative to provide diabetes self-management support to Washington County residents who have been diagnosed with, or at risk for developing, type-2 diabetes, and their families.

Congratulations to Ryder Scott and Kristy Ouellette, who have been awarded $164,000 from National 4-H Council to continue the Tech Wizards program for FY14.  Tech Wizards capitalizes on emerging technology as a way of involving under-represented youth and their families in learning basic life and workforce skills.  The program helps youth aspire to post-secondary education, productive jobs and careers, and community engagement.

Congratulations to Charles Armstrong, who has been awarded $2,070 from Maine Department of Agriculture for his project, “Unlocking Higher Cranberry Yields with Boron”.
