The Republican Journal previewed Clay Kirby’s talk about insect friends and foes in the garden at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at the Belfast Free Library. Kirby, insect diagnostician and associate scientist at the University of Maine, will discuss tactics to responsibly manage harmful insects. The Belfast Garden Club is hosting the free, public meeting.
