University of Maine Cooperative Extension and the Southern Maine Maple Sugarmakers Association will offer two half-day workshops Saturday, Jan. 18 at the UMaine Extension York County office, 15 Oak St., Springvale. “Intro to Backyard Sugaring: Maple Syrup 101,” 9–11:30 a.m., will feature demonstrations and discussion with experienced sugarmakers about all aspects of making maple syrup.
