The August 2105 issue of Down East magazine describes the recently published “Historical Atlas of Maine,” as a sophisticated, accessible book that “visualizes everything you never realized you wanted to know about Maine history.” The atlas is the brainchild of the late Burton Hatlen, a former University of Maine professor of English.
