Jung named UMaine’s New Vice President for Enrollment Management

Dr. Jimmy Jung has been named vice president for enrollment management at the University of Maine, effective July 1.Currently, Jung is assistant vice president for enrollment management at the State University of New York – The College at Brockport. He served as executive director for strategic enrollment management at City University of New York – Baruch College and as an enrollment analyst at Fordham University. Jung also has been a consultant for the New York City Department of Education.

Jung has presented nationally and internationally on his areas of expertise, which include enrollment planning, student recruitment, financial aid leveraging and predictive analytics to improve student outcomes.

Jung, who has a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, will be UMaine’s chief enrollment officer. He will oversee Admissions and New Student Programs, Student Financial Aid, Student Records and Student Employment, as well as areas of undergraduate international admissions and international graduate student recruitment. Dr. Jung will be a direct report to Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Susan J. Hunter and sit on the President’s Cabinet.

Enrollment Management initiatives under Dr. Jung’s leadership will be a foundational component of the University of Maine’s Blue Sky Project.
