Deadline: Communications Internship with SASS (Self-managed Abortion; Safe and Supported) 9/30

September 30, 2021 @ 12:00 am

SASS provides support and information to those in the US who choose to use abortion pills on their own through secure, online communications with trained counselors who are based overseas. The SASS webpage, abortionpillinfo.org, includes misoprostol-only and mifepristone/misoprostol protocols. We seek  to reduce any negative health impact associated with unsafe abortion methods, and to ensure that self-managed abortions are medically and legally as safe as possible.  SASS works to raise the overall visibility of the safety of abortion pills and the prevalence of people managing their own abortions with pills and to work with allies seeking to make abortion pills more widely available in the USA. SASS also provides community level information and training sessions throughout the US, with a focus on states in the South, Southeast, and Midwest.

SASS is seeking a Communications Intern to join our social media team for one semester or longer. This opportunity is perfect for someone who is committed to Reproductive Justice, a quick learner, a user of various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok) and hoping to gain hands-on experience. Bring your creativity, strategic mindset, and energy!

This is an unpaid internship for one semester, which can be extended to additional semesters.
