We will work to engage our women students to make their education at the Maine Business School a more meaningful and fulfilling experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our Goals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the 2019-2020 academic year, our new organization worked tirelessly to further refine the structure and priorities of the still-forming organization. In the fall of 2019, we focused on improving the organizational structure of the group, establishing written procedures to guide operations in the future, and slating processes for officers within the organization. In the spring of 2020, our newly forming organization focused on identifying both long and short-term goals for the club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Long-Term Goals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Host a Women\u2019s Leadership Conference on campus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop a structured mentorship program matching student members with mentors from the local or regional business community<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Short-Term Goals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Host guest speaker series including established businesswomen, early-career businesswomen, recent graduates of the Maine Business School, and upperclassmen at the Maine Business School<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with other Women driven student groups on campus<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our Purpose: The purpose of this organization is to provide professional and personal development opportunities to women throughout the University of Maine, especially those who are enrolled in the Maine Business School.
