Brief Biography: <\/strong>I grew up in Upstate NY and now am living in Blue Hill, ME. I became interested in ornithology and birding when I heard a Red-eyed Vireo singing during a guided birding trip. Having my awareness directed at that bird helped me realize that learning about Nature allows for a much richer experience in my everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Current Research: <\/strong>My research aims to fill knowledge gaps in our understanding of Bicknell’s Thrush breeding habitat selection to inform forestry best management practices. By studying the spatial and temporal dynamics of high-elevation spruce-fir forests, I hope to translate those patterns into silvicultural practices which are more congruent with their typical breeding habitat, thereby minimizing potential anthropogenic harm to breeding Bicknell’s Thrush.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
