UMaine Faith Leaders
New at the Wilson Center are once-a-semester gatherings of faith leaders on campus. These luncheons are a chance to get to know one another a bit better, share projects we are working on, and build collaborations and initiatives together. The following faith leaders and groups have been involved: the Spiritual Coexistence Student Group, Black Bear Catholic, the Muslim Student Association, UMaine Hillel, Navigators, Intervarsity, Cru, Alpha Chi, and Life.
If you are a leader of a UMaine faith community and want to be involved, please contact our Director.
Out of these UMaine Faith Leaders gatherings came our Multifaith Days of Service. This initiative provides UMaine faith groups with a chance to come together to do good in the larger community. In our first year, our Multifaith Days of Service included: the Ronald McDonald House in Bangor, the Solidarity Harvest, Welcome to Housing, and a beach clean-up project at Jackson Beach in Hermon.
We look forward to continuing to find common ground through community service and serving others!
