Open Houses for “Along the Migrant Trails” Art Exhibit

Come and see the human side of the “immigration issue.” Now through mid-November, an art exhibit at The Wilson Center features artifacts left by migrants and collected by humanitarian groups along the Arizona/Mexico border. Learn more about the countless migrants traveling through dangerous terrain in hope of a better future, often paying for their dreams with their safety, health, and sometimes even their lives. Entitled “Along the Migrant Trails,” this exhibit was made possible by UMaine PhD student Sara Lowden.

The Wilson Center is hosting four Open Houses for this exhibit, on September 24, October 1, October 15, and October 22 from 2-4pm. Light refreshments will be available. The Wilson Center is located at 67 College Avenue in Orono. Please contact The Wilson Center for more information (866-4227 or wilsoncenterorono@gmail.com).
