12th annual Healthy High 5K,10K & 1-Mile fun run
April 20, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
The 5k/10k run/walk will start at the New Balance Recreation Center on the University of Maine campus and will continue on a course around campus ending back at the Rec center.
The 5k/10k courses will be timed for 1.5 hours.
Both the 5K course and the 10K course are certified by USATF

Early paper registration forms should be returned to the Student Wellness Resource Center by April 19 at Noon.
No refunds or transfers are available for this race!
- UMaine Student 5K: $10.00 before race day (Includes Tech Shirt and Finisher Medal)
- UMaine Student 10K: $15.00 before race day (Includes Tech Shirt and Finisher Medal)
- Non-student 5K: $25.00 before race day (Includes Tech Shirt and Finisher Medal)
- Non-student 10K: $30.00 before race day (Includes Tech Shirt and Finisher Medal)
- 1 Mile: Free! (No shirt or finisher medal)
- Groups of 3 or more who register together are eligible for a discount. Contact the race director via email.
Race Day registration fee: Students $20 all races and Non-Student $35 all races.
Note: Student discounts are for full-time University of Maine students only. Non-students who do not provide a valid student ID number will have registrations put on hold until the race fee difference is paid. If it is not paid prior to race day, the registration will be canceled.
5K Walk or Run & 10K Run: The 5k and 10K start at 5:00 pm. The 1-mile walk will begin after the 5K/10K field clears the starting line.

UMaine students can receive a discount by registering in person in room 235 in the Memorial Union and showing their MaineCard* or providing their MaineStreet ID number on-line. Students will need to show proof that they are a current UMaine student for discount pricing.

Packets will be available for pick-up the day of race, starting at 2:00 pm in the Student Recreation Center at the health and wellness expo from 2-4:19 pm. Packets will include race number and t-shirts for the first 700 people who register! Please note that the 1-mile fun run participants will not receive t-shirts.)

Black Bear Exchange: The Black Bear Exchange is a food pantry and clothing exchange combination. There is no income requirement for users of the food pantry. Food is available to those that have a need. Our focus is supporting those who are not able to obtain assistance from other community sources.
Even if you don’t run or walk the 5K/10k, please come out and support our participants!

1 Mile Walk: -Start on Rangely Road near the Somerset Parking lot -Follow Rangley road and turn right on Belgrade Road (toward CCA) -Turn Right on Flagstaff Road. -Follow Flagstaff, cross Long and it will turn into Gannet Road -End at the Recreation Center 5K: -Start on Rangely Rd near Somerset Parking lot -Follow Rangely Rd (keep left to Park Street) -Turn Right on Park St. -Turn Right on College Ave. -Turn Right on Long Rd (follow past the Memorial Gym) -Turn Left on Gannett Rd -End at the Recreation Center 10K: -Start on Rangely Road near the Somerset Parking lot -Follow Rangley road and turn right on Belgrade Road (toward CCA) -Turn Right on Flagstaff Road. -Follow Flagstaff, cross Long and it will turn into Gannet Road -Follow to the right and go up Hilltop Road past the Rec Center -Take a left at the Rec Center parking lot. Follow the route along the edge of the parking lot as it veers right. -Turn right and follow the parking lot edge to pick up the New bike path -Enter the new bike path and follow to Park Street. -Turn right on Park Street -Follow Park St and turn right on College Ave -Remain on College Ave until you reach the Farm Rd. -Turn right on the Witter Farm Rd -Turn right on the Bike Path and follow back to Campus. -Turn left on Hilltop Rd and end at the Recreation Center
