The small town thrived and grew thanks to its productive soil, and the many farms remaining in town today attest to this agricultural heritage. New Sharon&#8217;s Sandy River, many other streams, and abundant forests all provide great opportunities for fishing, paddling, and enjoying the Great Outdoors!
