It&#8217;s the only road connection to Campobello Island from the North American mainland. The bridge crosses the Lubec Narrows and was completed in 1962. It&#8217;s named after President Franklin D. It was partially built by Horace Bennett and Fred Taylor in 1898 and was finished by the Mason Brothers, a bridge construction group from Bethel.
