Prior to its incorporation as a town, Cherryfield was a part of the nearby town of Steuben. Famous NASCAR driver Andy Santerre was born and raised here!<\/p>\n<p>First settled in the middle of the 18th century, the area that Cherryfield now occupies grew to include lumber mills and a blueberry farming industry.
