Fun Facts

Did you know…

Pietree Orchard was established in 2007 when Tabitha and Stephen King purchased the orchard from the McSherry Family. Tabitha and Stephen used to bring their family to pick at McSherry’s, enjoying the apple picking overlooking the beautiful White Mountains. Keeping Pietree an active orchard is their dream of making it possible for area families to continue making memories on the top of the hill and eating delicious local fruit.

Boothby’s Orchard & Winery was started in 1865 and is a seven-generation family farm! Not only do they have delicious apples for you to pick. but they also have a local winery and have specialty local wines including two new grape wines made from their Frontenac and Marquette red grapes as well as strawberry wine made from local Stevenson’s Strawberries.

Five Field’s Farm is at an elevation of 850 feet, which places them on the right side of the “snow line” in the foothills of the White Mountains. So, they have apple picking in the fall and a cross country ski area in the winter.
