After your delicious breakfast travel to your first antique shop, 1A Relics

Next travel to the Municipal Parking lot near Main Street Ellsworth. You then take a short walk to The Dream Catcher

Located in the heart of the Ellsworth’s historic Maine Street District, the Dream Catcher is housed in the 15,000 square foot H.C. Austin building, which was built in 1933 after the Great Fire.  Renovated and restored to its original beauty its high ceilings, hard wood floors, and beautiful grand stair case makes it one of Ellsworth’s largest, most stunning, and historic buildings. With 3 floors and 60+ vendors The Dream Catcher offers unique and hard to find Antiques, Art, Jewelry, Pottery, Comics, Dolls, Toys, Furniture, Vinyl Records, & Much, Much More!

Hours: Everyday 10-5, please note that the shop may stay open longer during the Summer and close earlier in the Winter dependent upon customer volume.


Lunch can be found at one of the many Main St. area restaurants


Last and certainly not least walk a short distance to the Old Creamery Antique Mall

The weather in Maine can be unpredictable. Therefore, here are some ideas to be prepared. Wear comfortable clothes and dress in layers, Maine is very casual, so you probably will not find any restaurants that require formal attire.

 

Spring/Summer/Fall: clothes, comfortable sneakers or hiking shoes for walking, sun hat, sunscreen, sweater or jacket, insect repellent, toiletries, and phone/camera

Winter: clothes (layers), ski pants highly recommended, winter boots, jacket, hats, scarves, gloves, warm socks, toiletries, and phone/camera. Please pack a helmet if you are participating in snowmobiling, skiing, or snowboarding.

Fun Facts About Ellsworth

Did you know…

Referred to as the “Gateway to DownEast” thousands of visitors to the area travel through Ellsworth on their way to famed Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor and other destinations DownEast.

Ellsworth sent 653 of it’s 847 male voters off to fight during the course of the Civil War.
