Itinerary Note

Note – we put some scheduled times in here just to give you some ideas. You can pick and choose what you want to do. Be sure to look at when they are open and if there are any COVID restrictions. In fact, it would probably be a good idea to call any that you plan to visit just to be on the safe side.

Madawaska is a small town located on the border of The United States and Canada! Don’t let its size fool you… this town has so much to offer! 


Day 1

                       9:00 am: Stop by Chez Helen

Chez Helen is an Acadian-American restaurant serving all homemade meals! Although they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, we are stopping in for breakfast on this trip!


Four Corners

10:30 am: Up next is a visit to Four Corners Park

Four Corners Park is a park dedicated to motorcyclists who have made it to all four corners of the United States in 26 days or less! The park features a statue dedicated to these riders along with a fountain. Check out this video tour of the park!


11:30 am: Time for an early lunch! Head on over to Big Rick’s Burgers and Wings for some delicious wings!

They are known for their Wild Wing Wednesday with all you can eat wings!

Tante Blanche Museum

12:30 pm:  Time to visit Tante Blanche Museum and Acadian Landing!

774B Main St, Madawaska, ME 04756

They are open mid-June to early September so this is a perfect summer activity! When you visit you can learn all about some of the first Acadian settlers of St. Johns Valley! 


2:00 pm: Head from the Tante Blanche Museum and Acadian

Landing over to the Four Seasons Trail Association! Walking or biking these trails are a great summer activity!


5:30 pm: Time for dinner at Jeff’s Pizza and Subs!

They are open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 am to 8 pm! They have some delicious pizza and sandwiches and are our last stop of the day.

Packing List

The weather in Maine can be unpredictable. Therefore, here are some ideas to be prepared. Wear comfortable clothes and dress in layers, Maine is very casual, so you probably will not find any restaurants that require formal attire.

 

Spring/Summer/Fall: clothes, comfortable sneakers or hiking shoes for walking, sun hat, sunscreen, sweater or jacket, insect repellent, toiletries, and phone/camera

Winter: clothes (layers), ski pants highly recommended, winter boots, jacket, hats, scarves, gloves, warm socks, toiletries, and phone/camera. Please pack a helmet if you are participating in snowmobiling, skiing, or snowboarding.
