In fact, it would probably be a good idea to call any that you plan to visit just to be on the safe side.

Goughan’s Farm is a relaxing farm with pick your own strawberries, a greenhouse, mini-golf, farmer’s market, and dairy bar. 

15 min drive to Bangor and Aroostook Trail


11:25 AM – Bangor and Aroostook Trail 

Between Limestone Street and Broadway, Caribou, ME 04736

The Bangor and Aroostook Trail is a 62.3-mile-long trail perfect for ATVs, horseback riding, mountain biking, or a relaxing stroll. 

20 min to Collins Pond Park or Burger Boy


12:45 PM – Collins Pond Park or our recommended lunch at Burger Boy

Collins Pond Park is a great spot for a picnic with kitchen facilities, a pavilion, and a walking path. 

Or you can enjoy your lunch at Burger Boy where you can eat great burgers, seafood, hand-cut fries, and ice cream.

20 min drive to Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge

 

2:05 PM – Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge

Head over to the Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge located in Limestone, just outside of Caribou. This is a great spot for wildlife viewing, canoeing or kayaking, and photography.

Packing Checklist

The weather in Maine can be unpredictable. Therefore, here are some ideas to be prepared. Wear comfortable clothes and dress in layers, Maine is very casual, so you probably will not find any restaurants that require formal attire.

 

Spring/Summer/Fall: clothes, comfortable sneakers or hiking shoes for walking, sun hat, sunscreen, sweater or jacket, insect repellent, toiletries, and phone/camera

Winter: clothes (layers), ski pants highly recommended, winter boots, jacket, hats, scarves, gloves, warm socks, toiletries, and phone/camera. Please pack a helmet if you are participating in snowmobiling, skiing, or snowboarding.
