Welcome to Cary! Cary Township is a tiny, six-mile by three-mile town between Hodgdon and Amity. Cary was named after a local lumberman, Shepard Cary, who was also a State Legislator and Congressman. Mr. Cary was born in Massachusetts and moved to Houlton with his family in 1822. He was very dedicated to his work
