Historic

    • A recently opened community organization dedicated to the town of Allagash. Please visit their Facebook page for details of any upcoming events!
  • Churchill Depot History Center 46°29’32.7″N 69°17’14.6″W
    • Once the headquarters of the Madawaska Company’s lumber operations, this site is now maintained by the state as a museum of the old lumber industry!
  • Eagle Lake Locomotives 46°19’20.1″N 69°22’30.7″W
    • Another relic of the old lumber industry, these “ghost trains” are an exciting find for adventurers passing through the Woods! Please take into consideration that the trains are located far away and require venturing out.
