Welcome to Woodland! The town of Woodland, named for its most abundant resource, was incorporated in 1880. Most settlers were American, with the notable exception of the Swedish Colony which extends into Woodland from the neighboring town of New Sweden. Most of them farmed or worked in the lumber industry, as many continue to do
