Owen Vadala

Owen Vadala is currently the Director of Communications for UMSG Inc. and the chairman of the Marketing and Public Relations Committee. A Junior from Rowley MA, Owen is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a Concentration in Social Studies and has minors in both History and Leadership Studies. He is very involved on campus, being a proud brother of Alpha Tau Omega Leadership Development Fraternity, the President of the Kappa Delta Pi International Honors Society, Vice President of the Student Alumni Ambassador Program, Secretary of the Student Maine Education Association, a Radio Show Host for WMEB 91.9, an appointed member of the Student Conduct Code Committee, a member of UMaine Alternative Breaks, and a member of the Order of Omega Greek Honors Society .

Since joining the Student Senate Fall Semester of his Sophomore year, Owen has held numerous positions within the General Student Senate such as: Sergeant-at-Arms, the sole Representative of the College of Education and Human Development, a Member of the Student Organizations Committee, and the University Security Representative.

As Director of Communications, Owen hopes to help the Senate both communicate and develop relationships with the faculty and students by advertising UMSG, Inc. and the many on-campus organizations it supports.
