“Jacob Wood is currently an academic senior working towards a double major in Economics and Mathematics. Jacob was born in Bangor, Maine but grew up in a small town named Lancaster, New Hampshire. In 2015, Jacob graduated from White Mountains Regional High School. While in high school, Jacob played on four sport teams: basketball, baseball, tennis and golf. Along with playing four sports in high school, Jacob was a part of numerous clubs and organizations. Jacob was a member of Youth and Government, where he was voted Governor his senior year, Future Business Leaders of America, Student Athletic Council, the Vice President of Spanish Club, and the President of his school’s National Honor Society. During his summers in high school, Jacob worked as a certified life guard and swim instructor.
In college, Jacob has focused intensely on his academics and is a Presidential Scholar. Outside of the classroom, Jacob is in many organizations. He used to be a member of the Society Physics Students, Engineers Without Borders, and the Secretary of the Residence Hall Association. As well, Jacob used to be a member of the club golf, baseball, and track and field teams and is the current Vice President of the math honor society, Pi Mu Epsilon. This past summer, Jacob just got back from Kansas State University where he was a part of an agricultural economics REU”
