The Student MEA at UMaine is the student version of the MEA for educators in the state of Maine. Within the Student MEA club you have the option to pay dues to the MEA where you can access educational materials as well as attend conferences for educators in Maine. You are still welcome to meetings and events if you choose not to pay dues to the MEA. Events that are available to all members include professional clothing swaps, panels from other students in education and volunteer opportunities with MAIER as well as with classrooms close to UMaine. The goal of the Student MEA is to allow students in education to form connections and meet people within their major, while discussing and advocating for topics that are important within the educational system.
