The American Society of Mechanical Engineers UMaine Chapter is committed to promoting the education and advancement of its members in the field of mechanical engineering. To pursue this goal we hold competitions and have regular meetings. As always our chapter of ASME is involved in many projects. Our current projects include the ongoing the coaster car, as well as the annual cardboard canoe race. In addition, we are looking for guest speakers, especially alumni who were active in ASME when at UMaine.
