Club Feature: Operation H.E.A.R.T.S

This week Student Government recognizes Operation H.E.A.R.T.S as our featured club! Check out their Trivia Night in the Bear’s Den Pub this Friday, the 19th from 6-8!

We are a medically-based service organization of 18-22 students who participate in three community service activities every semester. We fundraise for a big out-of-state week-long service trip in May! They meet Wednesday’s from 7-8 in the Bumps Room.

Besides their Trivia Night events they host a Breakfast With Santa for students and families in the community. We volunteer at the Stillwater Federated Church’s Bean Suppers. Some community service trips we have been on include Partners for World Health, TOGUS VA Hospital, Special Olympics, Little Wanderers, the Ronald McDonald House, and many more!

The goal of Operation H.E.A.R.T.S is to reach out through service and gain unique experiences in the medical field through various volunteer opportunities. We like to get an educational piece at any service trip we attend, learn about the medical field and different medical practices, as well as help out wherever needed! A lot of us have formed friendships and bonds with those we’ve volunteered with and Operation HEARTS allows us to pursue a passion of helping others, while learning along the way.
