Shelby Helwig

Hi there! My name is Shelby and I am a second year Ph.D. student in the Psychological Sciences focusing on Social Psychophysiology. I am from south/central Pennsylvania and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania in May 2017. In my research, I studying people’s psychophysiological resilience in response to stigmatization (e.g., sexism, racism, classism). I have been a Teaching Assistant for Statistics in Psychology for the past two semesters at UMaine. I also use statistical techniques and analyses regularly in my work and research, so I am looking forward to helping you get excited about statistics and its many applications!!!!
