Leah Word

My name is Leah Word and this is my first year as the mathematics instructor for the Upward Bound summer program. I graduated from the University of Maine with cum laude. Obtaining my B.S. in Secondary Education with a concentration in Mathematics and a minor in Psychology, I have learned many techniques to successfully teach students concepts that will benefit them in the future. In college, I was a part of German Club and Greek life. I used TRIO services myself as a student in my undergrad. I have seen how the program helps people, and I am very glad to be a part of the Upward Bound team!
