General Description
Student is responsible for intramural sports at the Student Recreation and Fitness Center. Officials will work to provide quality, fair, and decisive supervision of intramural activities. The employee uses high independent judgment and initiative under little to no supervision.

Duties (may include but not limited to)
Officiate intramural games using fair and appropriate judgment
Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of the sport’s rules and regulations
Scan playing area and alert Senior Supervisor of any hazards
Correctly report scores, sportsmanship observations, and incidents
Assist with player sign-in
Assist Senior Supervisor with setup and cleanup of intramural areas
Keep control of intramural games
Respond to injuries and assist in immediate first aid and proper emergency procedures
Provide a welcoming, inclusive and recommendations for merit increases
Attend staff meetings and trainings, perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge of, and/or interest in, recreation and camp activities
Enthusiasm, desire to learn, and desire to work as part of a team
Ability to operate independently within departmental standards of conduct and professional expectations
With proper training, awareness of risk management and safety concerns
Awareness of and appreciation for individual uniqueness and diversity
Pass State-mandated Background Check
Ability to obtain certifications in CPR, First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens, and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator
Commitment to student development and leadership
Must sign a confidentiality agreement
