General Description
Student is responsible for performing highly complex technical and research-related work in a laboratory setting. The student performs these tasks under little to no supervision and exercises a high level of independent judgment.

Duties (may include but not limited to)
Operates basic laboratory equipment
Cleans, breaks down and stores laboratory equipment
Prepares samples for laboratory experiments
Helps maintain records and files, including data entry
Takes and analyzes samples
Maintains stock of laboratory supplies and equipment
Explains laboratory experiments to others when necessary
Performs minor maintenance of laboratory equipment
Performs detailed investigations using laboratory instruments
Tests analytical procedures for problems
Compiles detailed reports on analysis findings

Additional Requirements (may include but not limited to)
Must be responsible
Must pay close attention to detail
Must successfully complete safety training
Must be able to understand highly technical fundamental processes
Travel may be required
Must have the ability to lift more than 15 lbs
Must have at least one year experience in a research lab
Must have extensive knowledge of chemical safety
Must sign a confidentiality agreement
