General Description
Student is responsible for performing complex research-related tasks in accordance with standard procedure. Student works under little or no direct supervision while frequently exercising independent judgment and initiative.
Duties (may include but not limited to)
Performs administrative tasks (photocopying, mailing, etc.)
Prepares samples
Performs routine testing
Analyzes materials and/or data
Cleans, stores and sorts materials and research equipment
Cleans and maintains research facilities
Operates basic research equipment
Maintains records and files
Assists graduate students and staff with research testing
Assists in developing techniques and procedures for taking samples
Maintains stock, supplies and equipment
Prepares summaries including basic statistics
May coordinate the activities of other student employees
Compiles detailed reports on research and analysis findings
Performs detailed investigations using complex instrumentation
Additional Requirements (may include but not limited to)
Exhibits excellent communication skills
Demonstrates a high level of expertise
Must be dependable
Must sign a confidentiality agreement
