General Description
Student is responsible to oversee the safety and programming for campers as well as providing a fun, safe and welcoming environment. The employee uses minimal independent judgment and initiative under direct supervision.

Duties (may include but not limited to)
General supervision of multiple children with facilitating program rules
Regulations and Safety concerns
Greeting and supervising children during drop-off and pick-up
Escorting campers to and from each program
Assist program director and assistant director as needed
Plan and implement recreational activities for children
Attend to injuries and illnesses
Assist parents with inquiries regarding the program
Maintain camp facilities
Attend Staff meetings and trainings
Perform other duties as assigned

Professional attire and behavior
Knowledge of, and/or interest in, recreation and camp activities
Enthusiasm, desire to learn, and desire to work as part of a team
Ability to operate independently within departmental standards of conduct and professional expectations
With proper training, awareness of risk management and safety concerns
Awareness of and appreciation for individual uniqueness and diversity
Pass State-mandated Background Check
Ability to obtain certifications in CPR, First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens, and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator
Commitment to student development and leadership
Must sign a confidentiality agreement
