Information Your Financial Aid Award is Based on: Financial Aid awards are unique to each student.  Your financial aid package is based on the following information that the Financial Aid Office receives: Financial Aid Need– Your need is calculated based on the University of Maine’s cost of attendance (COA) and your specific Expected Family Contribution
