Students are expected to complete the M.A. degree program in 2 years.

Summary of M.A. ECO Non-Thesis Requirements

M.A. ECO core (ECO 511, 514, 530) 9 credits; minimum grade of B in all ECO core courses.
ECO Electives (6 ECO electives) 18 credits; minimum grade of B- in all ECO electives.
Independent study (ECO 597) Minimum of 3 credits with grade of ‘Pass’
* Responsible Conduct of Research Requirement IF student funded by NSF, USDA, MAFES or NIH. 1 credit with grade of ‘Pass’
Oral exam Pass oral exam.
Total Graduate Credits Required Minimum of 30. All courses on POS require B- or better. Core courses require a B or better.
