Research summary

I started the Ecology and Environmental Science Master’s Program with the University of Maine School of Economics in January 2015. My advisor is Dr. Caroline Noblet, and I am a research assistant on the New England Sustainability Consortium (NEST) Safe Beaches and Shellfish Project. Water quality is a major factor in public and environmental health on the coast, so I look at what attitudes influence Maine residents’ valuation of coastal water quality. I also work with the Frenchman Bay Partners, a group of stakeholders working toward an ecologically, economically, and socially healthy and resilient future for Frenchman Bay. As a part of my thesis research, I am investigating the Partners’ Ecosystem Service Values workshop series as a participatory model for stakeholder engagement.
