SOE hosts research seminar by Dr. Mo Alloush

SOE hosted Dr. Mo Alloush from Hamilton College for a research seminar on Friday March 24th. Dr. Mo Alloush is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Hamilton College, with research interests at the intersection of economics, psychology, and geography. Dr. Alloush conducts research in a broad set of contexts with a focus on understanding the persistence of poverty. Specifically, he is interested in urban poverty and how the conditions of poverty affect psychological well-being and how that, in turn, plays a role in prolonging poverty. His talk, Income and Corporal Punishment, inspired much discussion about programs aimed at enhancing child well-being.
