SOE Graduate Alumna Stephenie MacLagan shares community engagement and solutions insights with UMaine Community

SOE Graduate Alumna Stephenie MacLagan shared valuable insights about engaging with communities and creating opportunities to tackle energy challenges with the UMaine Community on Monday, November 18th. Stephenie spoke in The Senator George J. Mitchell Center for Sustainability Solutions Seminar Series. Through her talk, The Art and Science of Spanning Ten Miles of Ocean for Energy Sustainability, Stephenie shared lessons learned from her research and field experiences engaging with Maine communities. As a Senior Community Development Officer at the Island Institute, she regularly engages with island and coastal communities. Stephenie combines ideas from economics, ecology, and sustainability science to strengthen coastal economies, build community capacities, and develop shared solutions.
