Avery Cole recognized for his research of coastal housing markets

Avery Cole, a SOE graduate student, is studying how large-scale changes in marine aquaculture will impact other coastal resource markets including the housing market. Using housing market data, he and collaborators are looking at what home buyers were willing to pay for properties in communities with aquaculture leases and compared those values to homes in communities with fewer or no aquacultural growing areas. Avery is collaborating with advisor Dr. Keith Evans on his research and is a productive member of SEANET’s human dimensions research team. More details about his ongoing research can be found here.
