Mariya Pominova earns prestigious internship with the Federal Reserve Board

SOE graduate student Mariya (Marsha) Pominova will be interning this summer for the International Finance Division of the Federal Reserve Board in Washington DC. Mariya’s internship will focus on the development of models to improve understanding and prediction of economic fluctuations. Her prior research experiences, as both a SOE undergraduate and graduate student, strengthened her candidacy for the position. Mariya’s prior research experiences include modeling regional economic resilience, studying industrial growth and development, and measuring the economic impacts of events and industries. By earning this prestigious internship, Mariya (Marsha) will get the opportunity to engage with key researchers and institutions, work on pressing national issues, and further strengthen her analytical and communication skills.
