Sociology Majors Present at UMaine Student Symposium

Sociology major, Julianna Ferguson, presented a poster at the UMaine Student Symposium. Her work on the relationship between juvenile alcohol abuse, depression, and violence was the subject of her poster. Other Sociology majors presenting at the Symposium were Samantha Saucier, who presented her work on Popular Behind Closed Doors: Approaching Pornography Consumption Through a Sex Positive Lens; and double major Meaghan Delcourt presented her work in Psychology on Stress-Mediated Physiological Reactivity Among Individuals with a History of Nonsuicidal Self-Injury.
