Amy Sherman attended the University of Maine and received her BA in psychology in 1996 and her MSW in 2001. Amy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has worked in a variety of practice settings, including school based, child welfare, corrections, medical, and home based.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is joining the School of Social Work as the BSW Internship and Online Coordinator. Amy began her career over 25 years ago as a child protective caseworker with DHHS. She has most recently worked as a clinician with the Consult Team at Acadia Hospital conducting psychiatric evaluations in emergency departments throughout the state via telehealth. She has extensive knowledge and skills related to safety\/risk assessment, crisis intervention, and emergency psychiatric care.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
