Strong Area Health Center located in Franklin County, Western Maine seeks a second Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
The practice: Strong Area Health Center offers medical, behavioral health, and dental care to residents from Avon, New Vineyard, Phillips, Strong, Farmington and surrounding communities. Together with medical providers, the LCSWs develop a common treatment plan within a shared EMR addressing both physical and behavioral health needs. They engage people of all ages and economic situations in a family practice environment to improve their well-being utilizing solution-focused, short-term interventions.
The community: Strong is a town of 1,300 people, but the health center draws from a population base of over 20,000. The economy is based in forestry, manufacturing and small business. Strong is 10 miles from the University of Maine at Farmington, a top ranked Liberal Arts University. Strong is ideally situated for the outdoor enthusiast. It is about 30 minutes away from Sugarloaf Mountain and the Rangeley Lakes Region. Porter Lake is nearby for four-season enjoyment, from swimming and fishing in the summer to ice fishing and skating in the winter.
