To increase profitability, Lean Manufacturing seeks to reduce the 7 forms of waste, or&nbsp;<em>muda<\/em>&nbsp;(<em>i.e.<\/em>, defects, overproduction, transportation, waiting, inventory, motion, and (over)processing).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MET 330 \u201cSix Sigma\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>MET 330 \u201cSix Sigma\u201d is a technical elective within University of Maine\u2019s Mechanical Engineering Technology and has been recognized as a technical elective within other University of Maine College of Engineering programs.&nbsp;
