Dedicated in 1956 and built originally for men, Hart is currently a co-ed &ldquo;Second Year Experience&rdquo; residence hall. One of UMaine&rsquo;s many different student housing options around campus, Hart is named for James Norris Hart, an 1885 graduate of the then-named Maine State College, a faculty member 1887&ndash;1937, and acting president for a few months in 1910.
